why DID I fold all those bulletins?

I would get up at 7 on a Sunday morning "religiously." Pastor Klatt counted on it. I imagined the boys did too. Sometimes the bulletins were fresh off the mimeograph machine. Other times I had seen him run the mimeograph the day before as I played at their house. I'd already had breakfast. I'd sit in the living room. An hour or so before Sunday School I would begin to fold. Every crease had to be right.
I wouldn't change it for the world. I just wanted my work to count for something...

i used to do some bulletin folding myself...and it made me feel as if i were part of the service in some distant way. It made me feel as if I helped to "order" that service for everyone...maybe...just maybe i'm too odd my for my own good to think that way:)
